New Broker Exam - Instruction Methods

Vince DePaul, the dean of our real estate school, YourHouseAcademy, has just returned from a seminar in Springfield where at least part of the focus was on methods to teach to the new broker exam. That's the simulation type exam and I've been ranting about its difficulty, at least from the examples I've taken at the AMP website. I'm hoping we can get Vince to post some of what he learned down there and am using this blog entry as a sort of prod. Stay tuned.

  1. I recently took the simulation exam. Its nothing like the practice exams posted on AMP's website, which are impossible to pass. In theory the simulation is a good idea, but their implementation has been poorly executed to the test taker's detriment.

  2. I've taken two simulation exams...both failed. They are very practical questions. However, without ever learning what is right from wrong or referring to similar study materials, it is clueless. I also bought the AMP exam; however, it does not allow you to go back. So I know what I did wrong, but not being able to go back to see other possibilities I could have selected to score high.

If you buy that exam, choose "all" for multiple choices...so that you can score your own test.
